AK’s Closet is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential resources to families in need. We believe that every child deserves a bright future, and everyone deserves a chance & helping hand. Because of this we’re committed to making a difference in our community.

I started AK’s Closet because, while giving out water and hygiene products on the streets, several people asked for various items we didn’t have.  I thought it was very ignorant of us to come down and ASSUME we knew what they needed versus asking them and coming back another day with the items they ACTUALLY needed.

Recognizing the importance of truly listening to the community’s needs, I took a list of what they needed and promised to come back with the items. I did come back with the items but they way they were shocked that I kept my word broke my heart, so I made it my business to keep my word when it came to their needs.
